| Report by : Arshad Hanif DPC MSS Kohat Marie Stopes Society RHIYA Project Kohat has organized three day inter district exchange visit to district Chakwal i.e. from April 19 to 21, 2006. Main purpose of organizing such exposure visit was to provide an opportunity to youth to express their inner capabilities and learn practical experiences. This visit was planned to be conducted in three days and would be an opportunity for RHIYA staff to learn and practically exercise lessons learned during visit. On the first day of visit, RHIYA Project Kohat team arrived RHIYA Project district office Chakwal. RHIYA Project Chakwal staff welcomed RHIYA Kohat staff whole heartidly. The district project coordinator RHIYA Chakwal gave over view of their project activities and their future plans. Their medical officer gave detailed over view of Reproductive Health issues and diseases found during medical camps. He further highlighted constraints arrised during implementing project activities. Their district Counselor presented different counseling techniques and behavior change modules adopted by their project team for successful implementation of project activities. Then RHIYA Kohat team was brought to their SYFCs for observing field activities. On the second day of visit, RHIYA Kohat team directly arrived at district office of RHIYA Project Chakwal. District Project Coordinator RHIYA Chakwal gave detailed presentation of project activities, implementation tools and constraints faced by the team members. Then, RHIYA Kohat team again went to their SYFCs and had direct interaction with youth and SYFCs staff about induction of project activities. On the third day of visit, RHIYA Kohat team were brought to different historical places/ localities. These historical places include famous salt repository (Khewra) and a famous tomb. RHIYA Kohat team found this inter district exchange visit beneficial for youth regarding enhancement of their ASRH Knowledge. |
