In Bangladesh, one good practice was selected:
Whatever It Takes: Creating Youth-Friendly Communities in Bangladesh presents the work done by Concerned Women for Family Development (CWFD) in Gazipur.
The practice was selected because:
- The approach used was effective in preparing conservative communities to accept activities for young people on sexual and reproductive health.
- The project made innovative use of materials originally intended to provide information to young people for advocacy purposes: they provided these materials to parents so that they could see exactly what their children would be learning.
- Many of their strategies used could easily be replicated elsewhere.
