UNFPA: Partners

For the successful execution and implementation of this large-scale Initiative, the European Union selected the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) as a partner with which to share expertise and responsibilities. UNFPA provides support to developing countries to improve reproductive health and family planning services. UNFPA was one of the first UN agencies to support national and international NGOs, recognising the value of their expertise, innovative approaches and grass-roots experience.
